compelling than the competition on the field, court, course, ring, rink, track, etc., is the competition in the boardroom.
Before a ball is thrown, caught, or struck, there is business. Business comes before the event, during the event,
and after the event. In fact, one could say that business is the EVENT. We will present sports with a business
slant. Sports Business is not just team ownership, purses/salaries, endorsements, marketing, and sponsorships,
ticketing, facility/venue construction, commissions, leagues, spectating, attendance, team relocation, media & broadcast
rights, labor negotiations, contracts & legal issues, concessions, equipment, and apparel & footwear.
Sports Business is the players, scores/results, standings, performance, awards/recognitions, uniforms, trades,
history, psychology, sociology, "fan-dom" and entertainment value. Whether we discuss fantasy leagues, video games, betting,
media, athlete arrest/incarceration, or technology--we'll do so from the prism of business.
We can't promise that we'll always we be right, but we can promise that we'll always make sense--Business $en$e!
